A Cast Marble hand signed Sculpture by artist Dan Lane

Dan Lane returns with a brand-new collection featuring one sculpture and three new limited-edition artworks. “Fallen Angel” was worked on for several years as the result of the development of new techniques and the combination of different styles. The sculpture is part of Lane’s Modern Relic body of work, but also lends itself perfectly to the artist’s newest collection.

The limited edition has all the detail of the original, being the perfect scaled down cast marble version of the life size torsos the artist in known for. Created in 3D, the sculpture is full of fine details that adorn the piece. A reimagining of an antique relic with crumbling elements, Dan uses contemporary references like tattoos to bring the ideal forward into the modern day.

The highly popular works have a contemporary, urban edge, but as an artist, Dan is hugely influenced by the creations of the Renaissance and it’s the fusion of the two different styles that make the pieces so special. Constantly constructing concepts as physical creations, Lane’s development and experimentation methods coupled with his ability to blend thematic elements, results in work that is simultaneously stylistically distinct and ever evolving.
